Ooh~ Shiny!

That was the first thought that crossed the red-haired girl's mind when she picked up the crystal and stared in it. There was a cloudy kind of image in it. It started to look clearer, but then Daryx was tapped on the shoulder. She jumped and dropped the crystal as she turned.

"What are you doing?"

She shivered as she looked up to Xiyum. Something about this girl made her uneasy. Sometimes she seemed so lazy, but others, like when Vanex got really annoying, Xiyum was downright scary!

"Oh.. Xi-Xiyum... I think I found what we were after!" She said, getting over her awkwardness and smiling brightly. She looked to the crystal, and to her shock it was gone. Her eyes started to well with tears.

And so was Vanex.

Ooh, that sucked. She had a sinking suspicion what had just happened. The girl pouted for a moment, then started to look around. She was scared that she would be scolded for this kind of mistake.

She found Vanex sitting near the perimeter. He was leaning back and tossing the orb around. Her eyes went wide with fear and she whimpered. Shifting her weight, Daryx looked antsy. It was obvious she was scared he would throw the crystal over the side or something, even if it was by mistake.

"Vanex! Give that back!" she screamed, stomping her foot like a child. She was pouting, just like she was really good at doing. It was second nature to some extent, really.

"What you gonna do, ditz? Come take it away from me..." The last thing the red-haired girl needed was a challenge. She took a step forward, then another. As soon as she figured out the timing, she jumped for him. Just as she did, though, Vanex threw the crystal over the side. Daryx landed on the ground next to him on one foot, then the other came down and helped her launch after the crystal.

Instinctively, Daryx constricted the air, creating a semi-sturdy platform for her to rest on as soon as she went over the edge. Another tendril of solidified air went out and wrapped around the crystal, bringing it back to her. She scrambled back up and onto the safety of the earth. She had a problem with being off of the earth for longer than a few minutes, especially because the air only held for so long.

As she walked by Vanex, she glared at him. Her normally cheery face was contorted into something that made her seem as cruel as she, according to some other members, really should be. This time, she held the crystal safely in her hands.

Once back to Xiyum, she smiled cheerfully, like it was natural for her to. "Look! I told you I found it!"
